UPS and FedEx offer several options that effect the final cost of the shipping. To allow you to make use of these options, the cart has these three levels of shipping cost:
Best RatesN/ADaily PickupDiscount Rate
Default RatesN/ADrop OffBase Rate
No DiscountsN/ARetail LocationSelf-service location

In most cases the cart will return the exact shipping cost that you would receive directly from the FedEx/UPS websites.

However, on occasion the cost returned by the cart will differ slightly. This is normally caused by the shopping cart estimating your package weight/size when the customer purchases more then one item.

You can adjust the following settings to help minimize or eliminate the price difference; Maximum Box Settings and Oversized Box Settings

This is a "Global Package Setting". This will effects all of the applicable shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, etc).
